We know it’s been a tough year for everyone. Fear of the unknown, fear of getting sick, and being stuck at home, has all contributed to a stressful time in our lives. We don’t know yet what effect this past year will have on the most vulnerable amongst us – kids. What we do know is now more than ever families need an escape; an escape from the locked down world we’ve been living, an escape from reality, and we know just the thing to get you out of that deep rut.
There’s nothing like a trip to Costa Rica to start an adventure and get your family back to feeling like life is more than homeschooling and handwashing. A trip to Tamarindo, Costa Rica can have your family hiking volcanoes, cruising on ATVs, seeing monkeys and iguanas, ziplining, surfing, snorkeling, diving, and sport fishing in the Pacific Ocean all in one exciting trip!
Start ‘em young… that’s what they say about instilling habits or even lifelong passions. So how young is too young to start enjoying sport fishing and all the rest we have to offer at Go Fish Costa Rica? Well, we’ll let Tim B tell you. He is just one of many happy clients of the past who took the time to leave a review on Trip Advisor. Here’s part of that glowing review:
“Right from arrival they organized my family’s private transportation to our accommodations from the airport and made sure we saw all the little local sights along the way. We didn’t have to worry about organizing any activities or anything stressful, as it was all taken care of. Which seems little, but it takes a huge load off your shoulders knowing you have a schedule. The other things that were super impressive were to do with our son Knox, who was just over 2 when we went. Steve and Liisa made sure to immerse us in all sorts of sights of nature, which Knox was OBSESSED with. He got to see monkeys, lizards, crazy cool birds in endless varieties it seemed, and even a few bugs.
While on the fishing excursion, the crew were Knox’s best friends, the saying “it takes a village” rang home as we saw every single person so willing to teach him and had so much patience with him it was amazing and heartwarming to see…all the feels with this place.
Would 100% recommend this trip to anyone I know and I would strongly suggest booking with “Go fish Costa Rica” to really get the local vibe out of a place. You know you don’t see nearly what you could when it’s just all about resorts and tourist stuff. This was an experience I want to book again next year.”
The kids will get their taste for excitement back pretty quickly once they reel in their first Sailfish (with help, of course), which is known as one of the easier big fish to reel in, as once they’ve made their way to the surface they tend to stay there.
Another activity that will ignite their sense of adventure and accomplishment is to take a surfing lesson. Tamarindo is well known for being the place to learn how to surf and you will find avid learners of all ages taking surfing lessons every day of the week. Steve and Liisa can even hook you up with sailing lessons if that’s more your child’s speed.
Ziplining, whitewater rafting, and ATV tours likely hit the top of the list for thrill seekers of all ages, and nothing brings a family together like sharing a high adrenaline adventure.
Don’t worry parents, we know you want to have time to relax, too. Take a shuttle to a relaxing river tour or take an estuary tour right in Tamarindo. You can see howler monkeys, great herons, iguanas, and even crocodiles! Cruising down the waterway while taking in all the natural beauty Costa Rica has to offer, your kids will be fully engaged. This is about as entertaining and relaxing as it gets with the family. So, whether you’re seeking adventure, relaxation, or just looking to instill some new interests in your kids (besides video games), we know we can find the perfect vacation for you and your family.
